What this really means for Nevada.

A High-Performing Health Plan (HPHP) is a benefit design built around five integrated strategies: (1) proactive outlier patient and specialty management, (2) transparent pharmacy benefits, (3) independent, advanced/direct primary care, (4) open, transparent, precision networks, and (5) independent, transparent, incentive-aligned plan administration. It replaces legacy commercial large-carrier models that profit from rising costs with a system based on transparency and accountability across all stakeholders — employers, providers, plan administration, brokers, and members.

It fuses extensive risk-management data and insight with clinical expertise and deep member empathy. When a member faces a non-emergent specialty need, a clinician on the Collaborative Care team carries the planning, provider selection, and cost conversation — and removes out-of-pocket costs for the curated paths they recommend. The “hand on the shoulder” is the distinction: a person, not a portal.
